SPARTA, NJ - The community turned out at the Sparta VFW on Saturday afternoon to support the Carbery family. The barbecue event, dubbed Tickets to See Mom, raised more than $17,000 to help get the family to Huston, Texas where wife and mother Devon is receiving treatment for cancer, according to Sparta VFW Commander Pete Litchfield.
